JG-2 racing has announced, that the multiple-time Hungarian Champion Tim can drive their factory made Opel Adam R2 on the season starter Eger Rallye, with his co-pilot Tamás Tímás.
Gábor mainly excelled in circuit racing, became a multiple-time Hungarian Champion, also won his first International Season in 2016, where he became first in Skoda Octavia Cup. In 2017 he jumped into his first ever Rallye adventure with Tamás Tímár on his side, and they conquered as the champion of the Northern Region, also as they became 3rd in Overall. They succeeded on Szilveszter Rallye, which took place end of the year.
After first year with his handbuilt Nissan Sunny Gti, Gábor got the chance to drive a professional car. JG-2 Racing and team principal Kálmán Farkas placed confidence in Tim. He will be the one who drive their Opel Adam R2, which finished 2nd in Rallye2 season, 2017. His co-pilot will be Tamás Tímár, as before.
„It’s just an astonishing possibility, and I really can’t believe it. I hope that I could catch up with the car soon, because I’d like to repay the confidence with a great effort. I’ll have a test before Eger Rally, so everything is set to deliver a great result. Our disadvantage in term of experience could not be restored this fast, but with Tamás on my side we’ll do our best. This car could finish 1st in Overall, but it will take some time.”
