Tim retired on Iseum Rally

Tim looked forward for Iseum Rallye as the championship leader, where he had his first gravel experience.

The duo had a great chance to prepare for the event, because they had half-a-day of testing before it, with JG2 Racing’s Opel Adam.

On SS2 in Katlan, Gábor carried too much speed while performing a jump,  and they landed way too hard.

Although they finished the stage and made up couple positions overall, the car suffered major damage.

SS3 and SS4 were held on Sunday, where they needed to cruise carefully as the engine temperature was too high. On SS5, the duo suffered front axle driving shaft failure, and they needed to retire.

It was the first gravel race of the year, so the points will be multiplied by 1,5. Our opponents will have a great advantage.

„ We wanted to compete and I think we were really competitive. Sadly we made a mistake, and that cost us a lot. Our speed was +5 km/h on that jump, and as it turned out, it was way too much. The front of the car took off well, but the back jumped higher, so we landed on our nose. Our service team made an excellent job during the repairing period, I’m very thankful for that. We’ll try our best on Székesfehérvár Rallye, we want to prove. „
