After claiming\u00a0 the Skoda Octavia Cup championship title Gabor had only one race left for this year. He\u2019s a participator in Szilveszter Rallye since 2010, which takes place on Hungaroring at the end of December.<\/p>\n

Drivers needs to compete on 2 special stages repeatedly. G\u00e1bor started with his hand-built Nissan Sunny GTi, co-driven by Tam\u00e1s Tim\u00e1r. They participated in category H4, which numerated 35 participator.<\/p>\n

Although he isn\u2019t a rallye driver he gain a foothold in the category, and became a real challenger. His car isn\u2019t factory made, but it became much better and powerful during the years.<\/p>\n

They started really well, gained 12 seconds of advantage on the first stage, and increased it all the way until the finish. At the second day they almost had an advantage of 30 seconds, so they won the category confidently.<\/p>\n

\u201eWe did it, finally! Enjoyed the whole race, we made a really good team with Tomi. The car had some heating issues, and we did a stage without clutch, but it doesn\u2019t matter at all. We\u2019ll work on the car in 2017. We\u2019d like to participate on Rally2 events as a real challenger. I\u2019d like to say a huge thank you to all of the supporters, and for my father, who did the maintenance on the car during the event.\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>Said G\u00e1bor after the event.<\/p>\n

G\u00e1bor also put his mark in rallye after track racing. Currently his 2017 possibilities are unknown, but he\u2019ll start on rallye events for sure.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
