My career has always been a strange one, sometimes up, sometimes down. Well, to be honest, I was never really \u201cup\u201d there, but the fact that I can still race at all, considering my financial circumstances, is a miracle \u2014 and I owe that to you and to many extraordinary supporters, both past and present. This is not a wealth of money, but a wealth of commitment to the sport we love, a wealth of friendships, and a wealth of trust from those who support me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026, and back to Swift Cup Europe. Yes, I already won its predecessor, the Suzuki Swift Cup, back in 2011. I returned in 2020, already in the era of the new, very fast 1.4 turbo Swifts, and became champion again. Then one year later, in 2021, another championship title in a very strong field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, the rollercoaster came again. In 2022 and 2023, it was YOU who got me to the Clio Cup Europe races, where I got a taste of Europe\u2019s toughest one-make series. Unfortunately, a full season did not come together, but I still managed to make an impression with a few strong results. Since then, that championship has split apart and is no longer what it used to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, I spent a full season in the world of GT cars, finishing third in the GTX standings of the GT Cup Series with the GFS Motorsport Lotus Exige V6 GTX. It was a great year, seriously. In 2025, I still made it to one race, and then it was game over. We had to admit that, given our possibilities, it was no longer sustainable, and on top of that the category was too broad \u2014 in GTX, you could practically enter with anything, and people did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so in 2026, it is back to a one-make series, back to Swift Cup Europe. Was this how we planned it? No. On the table was an opportunity that will always hurt a little \u2014 the chance to race in TCR with an Audi. Neither the domestic importer nor the bigger companies connected to motorsport were open to our approach, and we were unable to take up the offer, even though it was well below market price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At my manager\u2019s urging, I got back into a cup-spec Swift at the renewed Hungaroring and yes\u2026 this car is still really good, and surprisingly, I was even faster than I used to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we decided to go for it. Okay, the financial background is not fully there for this either, but somehow we will start moving forward step by step. First, we will get to the opening race, and then we will see. I hope we can go all the way. That is the plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
