Tim is currently recovering from a downturn, after had a decent start in Rallye2. After these good results he had to experience the other side of rallying. 2 DNFs and a bad result followed. He arrived to the 6th race of the season – Baranya Cup – with high hopes.
Before the race, JG2-Racing provided another test opportunity, which was well needed to find the best possible setup, also as to get used to the car even more.
The duo made a proper start on prologue, they finished 6th, also as the 1st SS, whereas the tyre selection wasn’t suitable.
They had great hopes, and looked forward to win the race, they haven’t got the pace to catch the first couple drivers. At the end they managed to gain one position, they finished 5th overall, and 2nd in category.
„I’m not satisfied at all, but I’m sure that this category 2nd place will be important at the end of the year. We want to be overall champions of course, but it’s nearly impossible. We haven’t had enough pace to win this race, thats it. The team gave in everything they have, and I’m sure that I’ll pay it back. We had technical issues, we haven’t had enough power, but I dont think thats the main reason. We need to improve surely. We had 2 races left, we never ever give up!’
Next race will be Salgó-Ózd Rallye, on first weekend of September.
